Advanced drone pilot certification

Getting your advanced operations certification with Koptr Image means benefiting from an all-in-one, flexible package that adapts to your availability.

The workshop offered by Koptr Image includes the main courses required to obtain your advanced operations certification. On the menu: approximately 20 hours with a trainer and about thirty hours on your side to read the documentation. It is then reviewed with the trainer to answer your questions.

Each of the eight chapters covers all the subjects you must master to pass the Transport Canada exam. At the end of each of them, you will find a mini-test to validate your understanding.

The training also includes preparation for the flight review as well as the radiotelephony course.

The Preparation course for in-flight review allows you to practice all the elements that will be required during your in-flight review in order to complete your training to obtain your advanced operations certification.

Radiotelephony

It is important to listen to and understand air traffic radio communications during an operation. This course will give you all the basics to help you understand when potential danger is approaching.

We cover all the topics required by Transport Canada's TP15263. Namely: Air law, air traffic rules and procedures, Human factors, Flight theory, Meteorology, RPAS engines and systems, Navigation, Radiotelephony, Flight operations.

How long is your training?

Our advanced training is generally given over a period of 3 to 4 weeks with a mix of classroom hours (or by teams) and self-study.

Why take a drone piloting course?

Training is essential to fly a drone safely and legally. It will allow you to understand the regulations in force, piloting techniques and best practices. Training is not mandatory to obtain the certificate but is strongly recommended.
